The Database Design Forum IS coming!

The Database Design Forum IS coming!

"Should we have a Database Design Forum?" I asked last week. The answers have been a roaring "YES!". Not ONE single negative!

Since I have started this whole thing, I will inform you of the following:

The Database Design forum is now planning its buildup, it will be launched in the next couple of weeks, and you will of course be invited to join when it opens.

So far, we are 4 moderators (really good guys) and one customer/visitor service specialist (trying to figure out what's your best visit experience).

I just need one more thing to get going: More volunteer moderators: As said, we are 4, but I need 3 more in order to reach "The Magnificent Seven" :-)

I am just trying to create a group of dedicated DB people who want to be more involded, and perhaps earn their fame as a database expert (moderator) over time.

What are the qualifications for a database design moderator?

1) You don't need to be a DB expert (you will be, but for now you are controlling the activity, not the content as such).
2) You are in total control of the English language (Important!)
3) You want to help others
4) You want to expand your own knowledge
5) You are friendly and helpful to others

As of current, I miss people from Asia, Africa and Central Europe. As of now the chosen moderators are from the USA, Canada, Mexico and Norway (me)

If you are tempted, report for duty through my contact form:

I hope you will join me in building as what one visitor said will be "A truly vendor-independent forum, cutting through the marketing crap"...

Hope you find it helpful. Feel free to use my material in your work/education as you like. I am specifically thinking about the E-R ebook, which I have found helpful for non-techies in early SW project stages. Just give it away to others, if you like. I only hope you will credit me/my site with a link in.

Remember that you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the eBooks. If you don't have it, LEFT-click on the Adobe icon.
