Advertize on Database design resource

One/Multiple-Page Advertising:

The Tier 1 level is the homepage of Not available for page ads, but sitewide ads (see further below) will show.

The Tier 2 level pages consist of approx. 10-15 general-content hub pages with 1-2 to 10-15 detailed articles below: Links to the relevant Tier 2 Ad pages are found in the Navigation bar to the top left: Killer hubs for lots of visitors.

The Tier 3 level pages consist of approx. 150-180 laser-focused, content-rich pages with highly valuable content, many of them even more trafficed than their Tier 2 hub pages. These pages are containing laser-targeted themed content that hit right into the core of the Search Engines (and therefore visitors).

Sitewide Advertising:

In addition, the Right column of the website is available for website-wide ads: These will show on ALL pages of the website, regardless of content, guaranteeing you +120.000 pageviews/month: Always in sight of the visitors. Do compare this exclusive opportunity to your ad budget spending anywhere else.

(Max. 4 ads in total allowed in the Right column, due to the need for high visibility to you, the advertiser).

And of course, other options can be discussed when available and/or appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions (and answers):

Q: Which formats are available?

A: For page ads: A 400x150 pixels space is available at the top (Where Adsense is now). The ad will be repeated at the bottom of the page as well, securing that visitors see it when they arrive as well as before they leave.

For sitewide ads: In the right column, there is a space for up to 4 ads (ensuring to keep them above the fold, meaning that visitors do not have to scroll down to see your ad). Format is 180x125 pixels. Current content will be moved below your ad. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: Who is designing the ad(s)?

A: You do. I will accept honest ads (text and/or images), and here are the basic rules:

No Flash
No PHP scripts
No fancy moving elements
Professional language/attitude/layout

This site is for IT/DB professionals; It should not look like a Christmas tree. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: We currently use Google Adwords. Why should we advertise here?

A: Google Adwords is a good thing, especially if advertising expenses are of little or no concern. But by using Adwords, you are competing with all advertisers in your field of business, just in order to be visible: The higher your competition is, the higher the cost per click for you. Not to mention all "Adsense farm sites", that are created with only one target in mind: To rip-off your Adwords advertising money.

By advertising on this site, there is no competition: The page(s) you have your ads on, are "yours". Competition is simply not allowed. What's more, you can have as many clicks as you like: My pricing is monthly based, not by number of clicks. Your ad cost per month is a fixed, predictable amount.

Most likely, targeted advertising on this site for your business will come at a fraction of your current Adwords spendings. And your competitors are all gone: You "own" the space.

But by all means, do continue your Adwords campaign: Use advertising on this site as an element to reduce your overall advertising cost (Adwords or whatever), while at the same time adding your visibility to a laser-targeted market.

As a matter of fact, by placing your ads on this site, you will most likely reduce your monthly ad spending, as well as increase your target audience visibility. Just fill out the Ad Request form, submit it, and let me send you my pricing policy and website statistics/traffic details: Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How do I know which pages are available for my ads?

A: Normally, my pages contain Google Adsense at the top and bottom. If this is the case, it means it is available for your ad(s): The Google Adsense code is just waiting to be replaced by ad code for your business. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How can I maximize return on my ad budget?

A: I would suggest that you "coup" a complete section: I have sections on different products as well as database theory etc. By reserving a Tier 2 page and its Tier 3's you will practically "own" that segment.

Also, the monthly fee for Tier 3 pages is significantly lower than for the Tier 2 page linking to them.

This is what I would call "a smart bundle buy". But you are in total control of your decisions, of course.

Keep in mind, though: Some Tier 3 pages are way more trafficed then their corresponding Tier 2's, believe it or not... Return to the Ad Request form

Q: Can I limit my ads to show in certain countries only?

A: No. This is a global site. If you run a local business, this is most likely not the place for you. However, it doesn't really matter: Your ad cost on this site is a fixed price per month, regardless of no. of clicks, pageviews, etc. You "own" your space here. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How do I pay?

A: By monthly Paypal recurring payments. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: What do I pay?

A: The competitive advertising cost will be presented to you upon a successful request; Just fill out and submit the Ad Request form. Return to the Ad Request form

What I can say, is that several sources have recommended to heigthen the prices significantly, but for now, they will remain a "cheap" bargain.

Q: What are we talking about in terms of payment commitment lenght?

A: Ad subscription is based on one month at a time, automatically renewed one month at a time, unless otherwise notified. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How can I cancel a recurring payment?

A: Both parties have a mutual 1 month cancellation notice. Email will do. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How can I trust your traffic figures?

A: Simply check my traffic. At the bottom of that page, you will also find links to outside, independent traffic measurement resources, that can confirm the ongoing traffic figures.

I value your investment in this website. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: Can I advertise what product I want?

A: No. Only products/services relevant to the site theme(s) will be accepted.

The webmaster of this site (me) has the sole right to judge if an ad/advertiser is considered appropriate for the site or not. It is another way of saying that any kind of adult, sleezy or in any other way offending material will be rejected at the sole discretion of the webmaster.

But I can give you another take on this issue: You need laser-targeted visitors in order to maximize return on your ad investment. I need happy, long-term advertisers. A win/win situation occurs when we both are relevant to each other: The trust I have built up over years with my visitors will unevitably flow to your site as a result of me accepting your ad(s) on my site.

I do not want you to waste money in the short term on this website:
I want you to earn money by advertising long-term here.

This is a serious site for IT/DB professionals, and your ads should reflect that fact. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: Is this website really recognized in the Search Engines?

A: Yes. Try a Google search for "null values" (important theorethical issue), "oracle partitions" (product-specific), "project management failure" (for project administrators), or perhaps "SQL Server jobs" (product-specific) or "database software tool" (generic). All search terms should be entered into Google without quotes.

Why without quotes? Because you'll see the real supply of websites for the search term, in all its variations. But you can try with quotes as well: Same result; much fewer sites. However, real searchers don't use quotes.

These are just a few examples amongst +20.000 keywords/phrases per month used by IT professionals who find this website the most informative resource, according to Google.

If you want to know how I get such results in the Search Engines, I'll gladly tell you after a business relationship has been established between us.

If you need more proof regarding your own business area, then before subscription, I will show you more relevant results. If I can't, you should skip advertising here. Return to the Ad Request form

Q: How can I start placing our ads on your site:?

A: Easy: Just fill in the form above for personal contact, and we will keep business a personal matter from that point on, discussing the details. Just follow the link: Return to the Ad Request form
