In the past I have been involved in projects which involved database replication over several, distributed computers, but I have never worked as a DBA, involved in database recovery and all that stuff. My favourite database tool is Oracle, but I have also worked a little on MS Access, which I consider more of an advanced filing system. It certainly does not conform to all the demands of a relational database, and was really never intended to anyway.
