Database Software Products to enhance your productivity

I get a steady invitation to do database software products reviews. Most of them I have to turn down; time is not available, or the product is not THAT good.

However, I occationally find database software products that are worth mentioning, or even recommendable.

This section contains reviews and recommendations of database software products that I personally find useful, or have proven to be a big help in the normal working day of database professionals.

CASE Studio 2: A comprehensive case tool

In my work, I always use a case tool to keep the overview of an analysis or design process. I regard it as a must in all but the smallest design tasks.

The problem is, that many tools are either proprietary to one vendor, and/or they carry a price-tag that is way beyond many companies' ability, not to mention if you want to have one for your own work and/or personal education.

The CASE Studio 2 product changes that: It has an abundance of functionality, and combined with a relaxed price-tag, virtually everyone can have one. I strongly recommend you to check it out for free.

DBxtra Multi-Database reporting tool

The DBxtra database reporting tool is another such database software product: It is a very user-friendly data extraction software package, priced very favourably, and with a remarkable connectivity to practically all database systems, from Access to Oracle, and beyond.
