Inventory system

by Iftikhar
(Pakistan, lahore)

I designed a database on SQL server, this is a inventory system and POS System. I stored all Purchase order, Purchase Invoice, Purchase Return, Stock in Stock out and Stock Adjustments.

then Point of Sale (POS)

Sale, sale Return, Sale replacment, Sale booking, Sale invoice.

All kind of entries in a single table named as Documents.

This table has more than rows 10,00000 in just two years.

NOw a days, I am thinking about separation of Purchse, and sale.

Hi,

Did you manage to fine tune the database design? If yes, please share the experience with us. alternatively, we can exchange the ideas by email (mdyameen6 at gmail dot com).

Even I have been working on retail applications since quite long.
